AFTERCARE ADVICE
THIS IS THE AFTERCARE YOU WILL RECEIVE AT THE END OF YOUR TATTOO SESSION.
I RECOMMEND YOU FOLLOW THIS INFORMATION TO GIVE YOUR TATTOO THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO HEAL WELL.
Getting a new tattoo involves breaking the skin, meaning there's a potential to get an infection after the tattoo has been done so make sure to follow this aftercare sheet to minimise the risk of infection.
Leave your bandage on overnight (unless you have done some form of physical exertion that has made you sweat and you can wash and reapply the bandage (please read ahead) the pads will stop contamination and save your bed sheets!).
Remove the bandage and wash your hands and tattoo with warm water using anantibacterial soap.
Rinse the tattoo thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
Dab the tattoo dry with kitchen paper.
If you see any residual plasma (gunky jam looking substance) on the skin or more plasma weeping out of your tattoo, get a piece of wet clean kitchen paper and gently wipe it away.
Wait 10 minutes before repeating until you stop weeping plasma.
Once plasma has stopped weeping wait 30-60mins for the skin to dry over (it will feel tight).
You can apply a thin layer of balm to your tattoo to relieve the tightness when needed.
After 3-4 days you will begin to peel, minimise moisturising then to aid in the peeling process (do not scratch or pick at the tattoo).
After you have finished peeling you can continue to moisturise the tattoo with the Checkmate balm or Cicaplast to aid in the healing process for up to a month.

(If you are concerned about the environment you will be in the next day you can re wrap the tattoo in the bandage provided in the same way that was shown to you applying the first bandage, be sure to change this bandage regularly morning, noon and before bed, if you choose to re wrap it and when you're in a clean environment you can follow the instructions above)
